Call of Duty: Warzone has recently added a few new features to the game such as the Contraband contract system and weapon Mastery Challenges. Infinity Ward also added in-match events that can happen during Warzone Battle Royale games and can have a significant impact on the players during a match. Only one event can occur per match, and they each have their own unique effect on the gameplay. One of these is a Supply Chopper event.

When the Supply Chopper event occurs, a helicopter will fly into the Verdansk airspace. While the chopper is non-lethal to players, it is still heavily armored with a lot of health, so it will take a lot of effort to take it down. A few rounds of bullets or a well-aimed rocket may be what’s needed to fell the helicopter. Once the chopper is destroyed, it will drop high-quality loot that players can use in the Call of Duty game’s Battle Royale. At its minimum, the Supply Chopper’s loot will include three UAVS, two armor boxes, two munition boxes, a gas mask, a grenade launcher, and a hefty amount of Cash, but the drop loot can be much more than this as well.
Players who obtain this loot can have a serious advantage in their Battle Royale match, but getting these items can be risky. Due to the chopper’s heavy armor and high amount of health, it may take a players awhile to take it down. This would leave them vulnerable to enemy players. After players drop the Call of Duty helicopter, they still to collect the loot, and enemy teams may try to swoop in and still it. The Supply Chopper also has a time limit, so if players don’t down it within the time frame, the helicopter will fly away, taking with it a missed opportunity for items.
All of these factors create a new dynamic for Warzone players to strategize around. While this is only one of three Warzone in-match events that Season 4 brought to fans, it introduces interesting new features that players will have to work around if they want to win the game.
Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
